Position overview: Working as part of the Engineering Team reporting to the Contracts and Cost Manager, the Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for implementing best practice contract management and cost control measures The Quantity Surveyor will require strong contractual knowledge and will be instrumental in managing budgets, costs and contractors. Advising the team on any potential opportunities or issues and having the ability to influence the team to ensure action to be taken before any impact. Key Roles and Responsibilities: Accurate cost forecasting and early identification of potential overspends Identification and management of risks and opportunities Management and commercial reporting Review and verification of labour allocations Monitoring of labour requirements and levels in-line with plans Developing and implementing a portfolio reporting system allowing easy to read pertinent information to be communicated to the management team Proactive continuous improvement in the delivery and their commercial reporting Driving cost effectiveness and savings across the portfolio Working with the teams to develop estimates for sanctioning Responsible for valuation processes ..... full job details .....
