Sheridan Maine is delighted to be partnering with a well-known brand to recruit an Accounts Payable Assistant on a temporary basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic finance team at the company’s Central London head office, supporting the smooth running of the purchase ledger function.
Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Assistant include:
- Process high-volume purchase invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
- Match, batch and code invoices.
- Ensure all supplier payments are processed in line with company policy.
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies.
- Assist with weekly and monthly payment runs.
- Liaise with internal departments and external suppliers to resolve queries.
- Support the finance team with ad hoc administrative tasks as required.
The successful Accounts Payable Assistant:
- Previous experience in an accounts payable or purchase ledger role.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage a high-volume workload.
- Good working knowledge of Excel and accounting systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, or similar).
