Year 6 Teacher

Are you an experienced and enthusiastic Year 6 Teacher looking for a new opportunity from January 2027?

We are recruiting for a dedicated Year 6 Teacher to join a primary school in Gillingham on a full-time contract.

This role offers the opportunity to take full ownership of a Year 6 class and play an important part in supporting pupils as they prepare for the transition to secondary school.

The successful teacher will have full responsibility for their class, including:

• Planning and delivering high-quality lessons across the Year 6 curriculum

• Managing the classroom and maintaining high expectations

• Assessing and monitoring pupil progress

• Differentiating learning to meet individual needs

• Completing planning, marking and assessment responsibilities

• Supporting pupils with their academic and personal development

• Working collaboratively with colleagues and the wider school team

• QTS is required

• Previous primary teaching experience, ideally within Year 6

• Strong classroom management and organisational skills

• Confidence with independent planning and assessment

• A positive and committed approach to teaching

• Ability to take full responsibility for a class
