is proud to partner with a leading name in the industry and are currently seeking an experienced Associate In-House Legal Counsel to join their team in Watford.To be considered
you must have a minimum of 2-3 years of post-qualifying legal experience or completing para-legal training. Prior in-house experience in a commercial entity would be an advantage. It’s essential that you have prior experience drafting contractsWhat You’ll NeedMinimum 2-3 years of post-qualifying legal experience or completing a para-legal training. Prior in-house experience in a commercial entity would be an advantageThe candidate must be efficient, positive, self-motivated, enthusiastic and must be keen to learn. The candidate must have strong communication skills (including but not limited to having strong drafting skills, ability to clearly and concisely explain concepts) and to be able to see the bigger picture by providing commercially sound adviceRole and ResponsibilitiesAssist the Head of Legal and legal team in the day-to-day responsibilitiesDraft various commercial agreements, including distribution, supply, agency, consultancy, sourcing agreements and service contractsSupport the negotiation and execution of a variety of commercial contractsDraft and update the Company`s internal policies and regulations and monitor their compliance with the effective legal provisionsProvide legal and professional support to the management and company directors on a range of legal matters when requiredAdvise on general commercial contracts across the businessEnsure that the relevant documents are filed in Legal Department database / library / folders.Maintain and update database of all existing agreements and legal libraryMaintain and update the HR folders (where required)Report regularly to the Group CEO / Director on project status and participate in team meetings (including coordination with other Group businesses)Carry out HR tasks including but not limited to drafting employment documents, liaising with external counsels, assisting in redundancy, disciplinary and other employment related proceedings.Undertake roles and responsibilities of an HR AssociateProvide legal review regarding commercial contracts / terms and conditions and advise on legal risk in respect of the aboveEnsure Company`s / Group Companies ‘processes and policies are adhered toWhat’s in It for You?Up to £40,000 (depending on qualifications and experience)25 days of annual leave + bank holidaysAdditional days holiday between Christmas and New Year if the Directors decide to close the businessStandard working hours 9 to 5:30 - 30 min lunch = 40 hours a week1-day WFH after probation and training at the company’s sole discretion (non-contractual)Workplace Pension Scheme60% Discount on our products that we have on EcommerceSample sales 2+ times a yearShort Leave – with pre-approval from Line Manager to take up to 2 hours off without deduction from holiday allowanceStatutory sick payAnnual pay review and/or bonus at the Directors discretionIf you have all the skills above and feel this is the role for you, please do not hesitate to contact us at 121 Personnel on 01702 464444 or forward your CV to louise.sand@121personnel.co.uk
