Licensing Compliance Officer

About the RoleWe are seeking a knowledgeable and motivated
Licensing Compliance Officer
to join the Council’s Licensing and Public Protection team. You will play a key role in administering the Licensing Act 2003, Gambling Act 2005, and other licensing functions, ensuring high standards of service delivery and legal compliance across the borough.
Key Responsibilities
Administer and enforce duties under the Licensing Act 2003, Gambling Act 2005, and associated legislation.
Provide efficient, effective, and reliable support services to maintain professional and legal standards.
Protect the health, safety, and welfare of residents, businesses, visitors, and employees within Hammersmith and Fulham.
Work collaboratively with businesses, providing guidance to help them meet their statutory responsibilities.
Support core Public Protection teams and services, including:
Environmental Public Protection
Food Safety and Infectious Diseases
Health and Safety, Animal Health, and Special Treatments
Licensing and Markets
Pest Control
Private Sector Housing and Trading Standards
Contribute to the Council’s statutory obligations, supporting high-quality service delivery in P1 critical services.
About YouYou will have:
Strong knowledge of licensing legislation and regulatory frameworks.
Experience in licensing administration, enforcement, or a related regulatory service.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders.
A commitment to public protection, health, and safety.
Ability to work flexibly, both independently and as part of a team
