We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive
Carbon Data and Audit Specialist
to ensure the accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement of our environmental data processes and reporting. The role involves managing data quality checks, supporting system maintenance, analysing performance trends, and contributing to sustainability reporting, audits, and compliance with legislative requirements.
What that means day to day
Work independently with strong attention to detail, performing thorough checks on data and processes from initial input to final output. Ensure accuracy, consistency, and appropriate application of relevant methods and tools.
Analyse data issues and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement in quality and efficiency.
Manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively, delivering work on time in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Maintain and improve templates, documentation, and workflows to support consistent and accurate reporting.
Operate and support internal systems and platforms, assisting with setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Cross-check data against external sources to validate accuracy and flag discrepancies.
Collaborate with team members to test and evaluate new tools, processes, or regulatory requirements.
Support audit preparation and contribute to internal and external reporting efforts.
Provide guidance and support to colleagues on systems, tools, and processes.
Train team members on new systems and methodologies to support broader adoption across the organisation.
Additional Activities
Organise and analyse submitted data to improve future estimates and forecasting.
Manage periodic updates to internal systems and reference materials.
Create and update reporting content and presentation materials as needed.
Use data visualisation tools to identify trends and insights.
Participate in ad hoc projects and other duties as required.
What you''ll need to be successful
Minimum 5 years of experience in calculating carbon footprints (Scope 1, 2 and all Scope 3 categories).
Track record of being able to complete quality checks on all deliverables meeting business quality requirements prior to release to members.
Strong knowledge of ESG/impact reporting software.
