Our premium brand Automotive client is currently recruiting for the following role:EDU Design Engineer - Catia - 30.30/hr (Inside IR35) - Coventry (hybrid potential) - 8 Months (potential for yearly renewal)Duties:- Design proposals for EDU (electric drive unit) development - Package assessments on concept proposals- Concept development to ensure credibility of proposal.- Investigation of potential incremental improvements for consideration in future developments or upgrades.- On-cycle issue resolution- Supporting cross functional teams to generate potential design solutions to be considered by the DandR and integration squads.- Helping to Identify design optimisation opportunities for implementation at later design freezes.- Assembly management and drawing creation.- Management of 3D assemblies- Creation of detailed component and assembly drawings for manufactureStandards, processes and tool development- Full utilisation of current client toolset.- Help to identify standards, processes and tools to develop. - Ensure alignment with client standards and best practises. - Highlighting potential weaknesses and opportunities Skills:- Experience of 3D modelling tools and techniques, preferably in CATIA V6- Working knowledge of GDandT and general drafting- Knowledge in delivering innovative design solutions.- Experience in project management and issue resolution.- Degree or relevant equivalent experience preferred.- Ability to manage multiple internal and external relationships ..... full job details .....
