They have a rare opportunity for a forward-thinking Operations Manager to support the Managing Director with the day to day running of the company and who can drive the business forward. The Operation Manager must be happy working in an office based role as part of the management team in a busy, fast paced engineering/manufacturing environment. Duties:Support the Managing Director with the day to day running of the company including management of staff (holidays, lateness and disciplinary etc.)Be responsible for all pre-production processes Dealing with customer enquiries, producing quotes from customer specifications through to launching jobs and or ordering materialsWork from engineering drawings to advise clients on product applicationWork closely with the manufacturing team and advise on manufacturing processes. Be responsible for Health and Safety for the site.Training will be provided however candidates must have a good base understanding of materials and manufacturing processes.Liaison with clients and coordination of client projectsDealing with subcontractorsAssisting with activities for the generation of new business and considering the best way to generate sales.
