Head of Submarine Rescue Operations (HOSR). This is a permanent, full-time leadership position based in Glasgow with international travel. The role is responsible for the safe delivery of global submarine rescue operations, ensuring readiness of qualified personnel, overseeing operational doctrine, and managing training assurance across a global team.Responsibilities

Lead a global, multi-disciplinary team to deliver JFD’s Submarine Rescue Operations strategyOversee operational training assurance, doctrine, and safety case deliveryManage the Global Longcast and allocate resources to meet contract and project needsChair the Training and Competency Review Board and Operational Working GroupProvide specialist input to new build projects and service contractsEnsure compliance with safety standards and participate in safety reviews (DARs/DACs/SRMs)Represent JFD in senior stakeholder engagements and client interactionsQualifications

Proven leadership of large, multi-disciplinary teams (ideally 40+ people)Experience in operations at sea, preferably with underwater/diving/submarine backgroundStrong safety assurance expertiseComfortable with international travel and flexible working patternsExperience in defence/offshore/marine sectorsBudget and operational planning capabilitiesDesirable
