A specialist SEN school in Wigan is seeking a skilled and committed Teaching Assistant - SEN to join their team. This is a hands-on Teaching Assistant - SEN role in a challenging environment that is suited to resilient and empathetic candidates with relevant experience supporting those with additional needs.

The Role - Teaching Assistant (SEN)

You will support pupils with a range of needs including Autism, SEMH, communication difficulties, and learning needs, working both 1:1 and in small groups. You will play a key role in implementing support plans, managing behaviour, and helping pupils access learning effectively.

This role requires confidence, consistency, and the ability to build strong relationships with pupils and staff.

Ideal Candidate

• Previous school-based SEN experience highly desirable
• Experience in youth work, care, or coaching also beneficial
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills
• Resilient, proactive, and adaptable
• Passionate about inclusive education

As a Teaching Assistant-SEN, you will join a dynamic and forward-thinking support team at this Wigan specialist school and receive appropriate training to become a key player.
