Reader in Performance Design
As a Reader, you will play a key role in your appointed field of research and be expected to make major research contributions to your field of expertise and the College''s research environment, as well as support research activities and outcomes. You''ll be joining Wimbledon College of Arts at a key moment in the development of its research expertise, building upon our performance design curriculum strengths in set design, costume, prop making, art direction, and visual effects. You will actively seek to attract external research funding, participate in academic debates nationally and internationally, deliver high quality research outputs, and contribute to research-informed learning and teaching and to UAL events. Based at Wimbledon College of Arts, which is part of the School of Art and Performance, you will provide research expertise that enhances our curriculum strengths in performance design and contribute to our research ambitions. About you You have an in depth understanding of performance design and performance technologies, and be at the forefront of developments in how they interact. You will have experience of enhancing the student experience through research informed learning. You''ll have experience of applying for and achieving funding from external sources, and leading on international and externally facing networks and collaborations.
