The Castle Pantry is situated on the iconic Highcliffe Castle grounds and open 7 days a week.The Pantry is an established busy Traditional British Tea Room that serves breakfast, varied lunch menu, afternoon teas, cream tea, selection of cakes, sandwiches to have in or take out.Operations runs 7 days a week, predominantly from 8:00 a.m. until 18:00 p.m. latest with some evening functions.You willWork very closely with the management team .Maintain and develop high standards of food service, ensuring all dishes are prepared to the highest standards.Control stock levels, stock rotation and order suppliers as needed.Be able to adapt to the fluctuations on demand and staff accordingly to the business seasonal requirements.Train and develop the kitchen team to company standards.Understand how food profit percentages work and how portion and wastage control affect them.Plan and develop menus in collaboration with the restaurant management team.Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen area.Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service and customer satisfaction.Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate new techniques and ingredients into menu offering.Are youUsed to working in a fast-paced environment?An effective communicator with effective leadership?Are you able to convey ideas effectively to a team?Experienced in cooking fresh high quality food?Organised?Able to manage stock levels?Do you have the ability to plan, prioritise and organise your work?Are you passionate to make the most of your job in a positive and fun way?Do you have a passion for the industry?Training provided includes:In house trainingFire proceduresFirst AID trainingFood HygieneThis is a great opportunity to join an outstanding kitchen team and become part of a rapidly developing and growing business.
