M&E Site Manager - Braintree

The Role

We''re looking for an experienced and highly motivated M&E Site Manager to oversee the installation of mechanical and electrical services on a major new-build project comprising three warehouse units in Braintree. You''ll play a key role in driving quality, safety, and timely delivery throughout construction, working closely with subcontractors and the main contractor from site setup through to practical completion.

What You''ll Be Doing

• Managing site inductions and supervising subcontractors, ensuring compliance with risk assessments and method statements
• Carrying out and documenting equipment safety checks
• Delivering daily Toolbox Talks to reinforce health and safety standards
• Monitoring progress against the project programme, adjusting schedules to meet deadlines
• Ensuring all works comply with contract drawings and specifications
• Conducting and recording quality inspections of installations
• Providing regular progress reports to M&E Contracts Managers
• Maintaining effective daily communication with the main contractor

What We''re Looking For

• Proven knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
• SMSTS or SSSTS certification
• CSCS Gold Card or higher
• Experience using the Dalux system
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated experience on commercial projects
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
• Telehandler Licence - Not necessary but desirable
