About youIf you are a Mechanical Estimator who enjoys getting involved in the detail of a tender rather than simply pricing from a completed specification, this could be a really good opportunity for you.You will be joining an established MEP contractor based in Tyldesley, Greater Manchester, working on mechanical packages as part of wider MEP projects ranging from £1 million to £15 million.A lot of the work is within the accommodation sector, although the business is looking for someone who is comfortable pricing different types of projects rather than being restricted to one particular sector.The interesting part of this role is the level of involvement you will have in developing a tender. You will regularly receive enquiries where the design is not fully developed, so you will need to understand what is missing, work out what is required and build up a complete and competitive price.They are looking for someone who understands Design and Build projects and has the technical knowledge and commercial awareness to take responsibility for this process.The salary is £55,000 to £65,000 per annum, plus package, and the business offers hybrid working.Your experienceYou will need a solid background as a Mechanical Estimator within the building services or MEP sector, with experience pricing mechanical installations on construction projects.Experience working on Design and Build projects is essential.You should be comfortable pricing from a detailed specification, but equally ..... full job details .....
