Private Client Solicitor / Legal Executive (Wills, Trusts & Estates)

Minimum 3 Years' Experience

An established and highly regarded law firm is seeking an experienced Private Client Solicitor or Legal Executive to join its growing Wills, Trusts & Estates team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated legal professional looking to develop their career within a supportive and collaborative environment, working with a broad range of private client matters and helping to drive the continued growth of a successful department. 

The Role

You will manage your own varied caseload and provide expert advice across a range of private client matters, including:

• Drafting simple and complex Wills
  
  
• Estate planning and estate administration
  
  
• Probate matters
  
  
• Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs)
  
  
• Advising elderly and vulnerable clients
  
  
• Trust-related work
  
  
• Court of Protection matters (where applicable)
  
  
• Assisting with the ongoing development and growth of the department
  
  
• Supporting business development and marketing initiatives 
  
  

About You

The successful candidate will have:

• A qualification as a Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive
  
  
• A minimum of 3 years' experience handling their own private client caseload
  
  
• Strong technical knowledge of Wills, Probate, Trusts and Estate Administration
  
  
• Excellent client care and communication skills
  
  
• A proactive and commercial approach to business development
  
  
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  
  
• The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  
  
• Good IT skills, including experience with Microsoft Office applications
  
  
• A full UK driving licence
  
  

Desirable Experience

• Experience using a Case Management System
  
  
• STEP qualification or working towards one
  
  
• Experience of, or an interest in, Court of Protection work
