TeacherActive is proud to be working with a primary school in Tonypandy with a specialist resource base supporting children with Autism / ASD. The school is looking for a dedicated and flexible Learning Support Assistant who can provide consistent support and help pupils engage positively with their learning.

The school is looking for a Learning Support Assistant to work on a part-time, ad-hoc basis, with regular hours available throughout the academic year to meet the ongoing needs of the specialist resource base. The successful Learning Support Assistant will support children with ASD, working alongside teaching staff to provide individualised support, promote engagement and help pupils access learning and school life.

The successful Learning Support Assistant will have:

• Experience working with children with Autism / ASD
• Experience supporting children within a primary school, specialist provision or similar setting
• A patient, dedicated and supportive approach
• The ability to adapt to the individual needs of pupils
• Flexibility with working hours and availability
• The ability to work at short notice would be advantageous
