Salary: -32,000 per annum

Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join a busy accounts team. The successful candidate will also provide valuable financial analysis and reporting to support future business decisions.

Key Responsibilities of a Credit Controller

• Manage the debt for a portfolio of business-to-business (B2B) customers.
• Ensure all customer account details are up to date and accurate.
• Develop and maintain strong B2B relationships with customers.
• Send copy documents to customers upon request.
• Release accounts from hold status once payments have been received.
• Handle customer communication professionally via phone and email.
• Communicate with sales representatives and other departments to resolve queries.
• Address customer complaints by gathering information and offering potential solutions.
• Open and close customer accounts as needed.
• Allocate payments and refunds on a daily basis.
• Release pro-forma orders following payment.
• Update ledgers with any pending on-hold queries.
• Perform account reconciliations.
• Submit monthly reports to the Accounts Manager regarding unpaid invoices.

Key Skills of a Credit Controller

• A minimum of 2 years'' experience in a similar credit control role.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Patience and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Strong analytical skills with a thorough attention to detail.
• The ability to listen and negotiate effectively with customers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• The ability to work well as part of a team.
