TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream primary school in Bristol, who have recently been awarded an ‘Outstanding’ OFSTED rating. The school promotes an inclusive and supportive environment, with a strong focus on ensuring every child reaches their full potential.

The school is looking to take on a full-time Primary Teaching Assistant on a permanent basis from September. The successful Primary Teaching Assistant will be working on a one-to-one basis with a pupil with SEND, supporting their academic progress and emotional development, while working closely with the class teacher and SENCO.

The successful Primary Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience working with children with SEND such as ASD, ADHD or SEMH
• Previous experience in a primary school or educational setting
• A relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable
• Strong communication and behaviour management skills
• A patient, nurturing and resilient approach
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
