Electrical Wireperson / Electrician Stafford - travel required30k-50k (plus overtime) Roles and Responsibilities:Install and terminate LV, HV, and control cabling to spec.Wire panels and protection/control systems in substations.Perform glanding, crimping, insulation resistance testing.Work to electrical drawings, ITPs, QA documents.Support commissioning phases where qualified.Comply with National Grid safety rules.Apply lock-off/tag-out procedures.Participate in energisation stages.Persons (National Grid) certification mandatory.Daily adherence to RAMS, PoWRAs, and ITPs.Use appropriate PPE at all times.Participate in toolbox talks, daily briefings, and SHEQ audits.Report hazards, incidents, and near-misses immediately.Maintain compliance with site welfare, access, and conduct rules. Experience Insulation testers, multimeters, test lamps.Cable rollers, conduit benders, drum jacks.Portable power tools, cable pullers.ECS/JIB Gold Card (not required for wire persons).National Grid Persons qualifications.18th Edition Wiring Regulations (not required for wire persons).Awareness of protection schemes.
