is looking for a passionate and dedicated

Post 16 Education, Employment and Training (EET) Officer

to join our amazing team and help young people thrive.About the Role

In this vital role, you will:Track and record the education, employment, or training destinations of young people in Year 12 and Year 13.Provide targeted careers advice, guidance, and signposting for those who are NEET or at risk of NEET.Collaborate with colleagues and partner agencies to implement timely interventions that reduce the number of young people without a known destination.Undertake database cross-referencing, home visits, and direct engagement to collect accurate, quality-assured data.Contribute to the delivery of our Southwark 2030 strategy and ensure data is reported to the DfE to strict deadlines.About You

We’re looking for someone who is:Organised, motivated, and confident in engaging with young people, parents, and guardians.Experienced in managing complex caseloads and delivering client-focused interventions to deadlines.Skilled in using CRM systems, maintaining accurate records, and identifying trends in EET/NEET data.A strong collaborator and communicator, able to manage large volumes of data while keeping a focus on the individual needs of young people.Comfortable conducting home visits (in pairs) to reach the \"not known\" cohort.Ideally, you will:Be a qualified careers adviser (Level 6 Career Guidance and Development or above).Have a strong understanding of legislation and challenges related to young people’s participation in EET.Have experience supporting young people to overcome barriers and achieve sustainable outcomes.About the Team

The Post 16 Service sits within

Education, Access and Statutory Services . We lead on the local authority’s duty to “Raise the Participation Age” (RPA) and report on the participation of around 6,000 young people each year. Our mission is simple: ensure every young person in Year 12 and 13 has a recorded EET destination and is supported to achieve career independence.For detailed qualifications and requirements, please review the job description and person specification located at the bottom of the advert.Additional Information
