The Ascott Limited UK Corporate Office is seeking a qualified, experienced and capable
Senior Accountant
to become part of our Finance team, supporting our Lodging business, covering a specific portfolio.Reporting to your manager, you are responsible for applying accounting principles and procedures to analyse financial information, preparing accurate financial reports and ensuring appropriate accounting control procedures for your specific portfolio.As the Senior Accountant , you will be responsible for:Leading on the preparation and analysis of financial statements and supporting schedules for a variety of operating hotels/serviced apartments on a monthly basisFacilitating and completing monthly and yearly closing procedures to the required standardAnalysing revenues and expenses to ensure they are recorded appropriately on a monthly basisDrafting statutory financial statements and managing financial and tax auditsPreparing quarterly VAT returns and recording data to allow completion of annual P11D''s and PSA settlementsAssisting in variance analysis of actual versus budget on a monthly basis and liaising with operational contacts to resolve queriesEnsuring best practice at all times and putting forward ideas to management as to how standards, processes and procedures can be improvedPreparing the monthly management report and monthly balance sheet reconciliation for all accountsSupporting operations in preparation of annual budget and monthly forecastPreparing monthly cashflow forecasts for entities under scope, identifying any funding requirements or surplus cash in good time to support treasury management on a group basisAssisting in documentation and monitoring of internal controls.To be successful in the role of
Senior Accountant , we require:
ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualifiedMinimum 3 years experience in a similar role within a medium/large corporate environmentGood general understanding of accounting theory and business taxationBackground in Hospitality or real estate (desirable)Advanced MS ExcelProblem solving skillsKnowledge of applicable laws, codes and regulationsAttention to detailThis is your opportunity to be part of our team as a
