Mobile Senior Air Conditioning Engineer - Birmingham - Global Facilities Management Organisation: Blue Chip Data Centres

CBW Staffing Solutions are seeking a skilled Senior Air Conditioning Engineer to join our client’s team of facilities management professionals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC maintenance and repair, responsible for maintaining and servicing air conditioning systems to ensure optimal performance and end-client satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will have experience of pressure leak tests, compressor changes and braising.

This is a mobile role, covering Birmingham and surrounding areas.

Package:

- Competitive salary between £44,000 - £46,000 per annum (depending on experience)- Van and fuel card supplied- Core hours are Monday - Friday (40 hours per week)- Participation in an ‘out of hours’ on call rota (to be confirmed)- 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays- Generous workplace pension scheme- Training, development and progression opportunities

Responsibilities:

- Maintain, service and troubleshoot a variety of air conditioning systems, including split systems, VRV/VRF systems, and chillers- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning coils, replacing filters, moving parts, to prolong the lifespan of HVAC equipment- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults in air conditioning units, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency- Conduct inspections and assessments of HVAC systems to identify potential issues and recommend appropriate solutions- Collaborate with other maintenance personnel and contractors to coordinate complex repairs and system upgrades- Adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations to promote a safe working environment

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as an Air Conditioning Engineer or similar role within the facilities management industry- Hold your F-Gas Cat 1 Regulations certification- Full UK driving licence- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair techniques- Familiarity with refrigeration principles and equipment- Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical faults- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail- Ability to work independently and as part of a team- Effective communication and customer service skills
