The setting supports children and young people aged 7-19 with Autism, anxiety, social and emotional needs, and other complex conditions. The school aims to develop the cognitive, emotional and functional skills of young people, preparing them for adulthood and greater independence.Main Purpose of the RoleTo apply psychological models and practices to enhance learning, emotional regulation and independence in young people.To provide clinical input that enables staff to effectively support communication, behaviour and emotional needs.To reduce students'' reliance on adults through therapeutic strategies, behaviour support and skills development.Key DutiesAssess the psychological needs of young people using appropriate approaches and tools.Work alongside external professionals involved in the care of the student.Contribute to multi-disciplinary planning and coordination of behaviour and emotional support.Research and promote best practice in Positive Behaviour Support and oversee its implementation across the school.Provide staff training on behaviour support, mental health, communication and related topics.Support parents and families through guidance, training and communication.Develop and deliver therapeutic group ..... full job details .....
