We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and experienced School Counsellor to join our team from September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to the emotional wellbeing and mental health of children and young people within a supportive school environment.The Role As our School Counsellor, you will provide confidential, one-to-one counselling and emotional support to pupils, helping them to overcome barriers to learning and promoting positive mental health. You will work collaboratively with school staff, parents/carers, and external agencies to ensure pupils receive the support they need.The Ideal Candidate Will Have:A recognised counselling qualification (minimum Level 4 Diploma or equivalent) or experience of this role in an educational settingMembership or accreditation with a recognised professional body (e.g. BACP, UKCP or NCPS), or be working towards accreditationExperience working with children and young people, preferably within a school or educational settingExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsA sound understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and confidentialityThe ability to build trusting, professional relationships with pupils, families, and colleaguesA caring, empathetic, and non-judgemental approachStrong organisational and record-keeping skillsWe Offer:A welcoming and supportive school communityOpportunities for professional development and ongoing training.A collaborative and dedicated staff teamThe ..... full job details .....
