Conventional Grinder 33,800 - 37,000 Mon-Fri 8am-4.30pm Skelmersdale Conventional Grinder The Role We are looking for an experienced Conventional Grinder to join our clients manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting and operating a range of conventional grinding machinery, including cylindrical grinders, bore grinders and surface grinders, producing high-precision components to engineering drawings and tight dimensional tolerances.Conventional Grinder Key Responsibilities Set and operate conventional cylindrical grinding machines to produce precision components. Set and operate internal/bore grinding machines to achieve accurate internal diameters and finishes. Set and operate surface grinding machines for precision flat and parallel surfaces. Read and interpret detailed engineering drawings and specifications. Select appropriate grinding wheels, tooling and workholding methods for different materials and components. Work to tight dimensional tolerances and achieve specified surface finishes. Identify and rectify issues affecting component quality, accuracy or surface finish. Maintain accurate records of measurements and production information where required. Ensure machines, tooling and the working area are kept clean, safe and well maintained. Follow company quality procedures, health and safety requirements and manufacturing instructions.
