From early site appraisals and feasibility through to masterplans, design codes and planning submissions, you\''ll join a supportive team that values mentoring, continuous learning and cross-disciplinary collaboration.Responsibilities
Lead and drive urban design projects from feasibility through to outline and planning submission stagesPrepare and oversee masterplans, design codes, development briefs and supporting planning documentsUndertake site appraisals and feasibility studies, articulating clear, people-centred design responsesManage client relationships; contribute to business development and portfolio growthCoordinate inputs across disciplines (planning, heritage, transport, landscape, economics) to achieve integrated outcomesPresent design proposals clearly through drawings, reports and client/ stakeholder meetingsSupport and mentor junior team members; help shape the growth of the Design teamQualifications and Requirements
Post-graduate qualification in Urban Design (or strong UD interest with Architecture/Landscape/Planning background)Proven UK consultancy experience on residential, mixed-use and/or employment-led schemesStrong knowledge of UK urban design and placemaking principlesCreative design flair with attention to detail from strategic visioning to parcel-level resolutionExcellent written, visual and verbal communication skillsChartered RTPI (or working towards), or Recognised Practitioner in Urban Design/committed to achieving itSoftware: Adobe CC, AutoCAD, SketchUp; Vectorworks and QGIS desirableConfident hand-sketching advantageousTeam leadership, coordination and quality management skillsEligible to work in the UKWhat you get back
