Nights Warehouse Manager

Location: Crewe
Salary: £40,000 per annum
Hours: Thursday to Sunday, 9:00pm – 6:00am
Job Type: Permanent, fulltime
 
Pertemps are seeking an experienced and motivated Nights Warehouse Manager to lead their client’s overnight operation at their chilled warehouse facility in Crewe. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands on leader who thrives in a fast paced logistics environment and has a passion for developing teams and driving operational excellence.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of approximately 20 warehouse operatives, ensuring all operations are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
The warehouse operates within a chilled environment, with temperatures ranging between 1°C and 4°C.

Key responsibilities for the Nights Warehouse Manager:

• Lead, motivate, and manage a team of around 20 warehouse colleagues during the night shift.
• Ensure daily warehouse operations are completed accurately and on schedule.
• Monitor productivity and performance, driving continuous improvement across the operation.
• Maintain high standards of health and safety, ensuring all company procedures are followed.
• Manage staffing levels, attendance, and team performance.
• Conduct regular team briefings and performance reviews.
• Work closely with other departments to ensure service levels and customer expectations are met.
• Investigate and resolve operational issues promptly and effectively.
• Ensure stock accuracy and warehouse housekeeping standards are maintained.

The ideal candidate for the Nights Warehouse Manager:

• Previous experience in a Warehouse Manager, Shift Manager, or Warehouse Supervisor role.
• Experience managing teams within a warehouse, logistics, or distribution environment.
• Strong leadership, communication, and people management skills.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
• Good understanding of warehouse health and safety requirements.
• The ability to work effectively under pressure and meet operational deadlines.
