Financial Controller 35K - Daventry 08.30am-17.00pm 40 Hours Per Week Reporting to the Finance Director, this key role involves the day to day management of the finance function in a fast moving logistics and warehouse company. Key AccountabilitiesManage the finance function, including key tasks:Banking / cash flow / reconciliationSales ledgerPurchase ledgerMonthly payrollMonthly VAT returnWeekly and monthly reportingBudgets and forecastsEnsuring all accountancy and legislation guidelines are followedDevelop systems and processes to improve efficiency within the finance functionUse all available evidence to make informed decisions to solve issues GeneralEnsure the high level of Health, safety and welfare of all self and others through adherence to the Health and Safety statement and policyAdhere to all relevant office standard operating procedures and risk assessments at all timesWork efficiently and effectively as part of a teamBe adaptable and flexible in your approach to workTo perform any reasonable request from the Finance Director Skills and Experience Previous finance experiencePart or fully qualified accountantCommunications skills to work at a senior levelTrustworthyTakes ownership for own performanceAble to work to time sensitive deadlines and prioritise workAble to problem solve and make decisionsExcellent numeracy, spoken and written communication skillsStrong IT skills (competent user of Office 365 package) including the extraction of data and manipulation ..... full job details .....
