Their learning follows a clear and consistent routine of structured tasks and choice-led activities. The successful teaching assistant will play a key role in maintaining consistency, emotional safety, and encouraging engagement in learning throughout the school day.As the ideal Teaching Assistant, you should have: Experience supporting children with additional needs or emotional regulation difficulties.The ability to think on your feet and implement creative distraction and de-escalation strategies.A strong understanding of emotion coaching, behaviour management, and setting clear boundaries.Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.A proactive, adaptable approach and a genuine passion for supporting young learners.
