Warehouse Operative/Shipping & Packing Assistant Required (PM Shift)

Duties:

• Understand and follow all aspects of health, safety and risk management as set out by the company
• Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of outgoing shipments to verify information against orders and records.
• Affixes shipping labels on packed cartons identifying shipping information on cartons.
• Packages select preassembled containers, inserts items into containers, using spacers, fillers, and protective padding.
• Use of computer programs such as ERP, Internet, regularly throughout the shift.
• Loading/Unloading of company or third-party vehicles.
• Operate company forklift trucks & manual handling equipment for department and in support of other departments in the plant.
• Undertake and complete all company mandated training.

Experience Required:

• Packaging & shipping of industrial components preferred
• Processing of goods through company or third-party systems
• Determine the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job.
• Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
• Ability to work in a cohesive team environment.
• Capacity to demonstrate retention of knowledge and products.
• Highly detail oriented with a critical degree of accuracy.
• Ability to demonstrate consistent high quantity completion while maintaining high quality packing standards.
• Basic computer skills (email, word)

Additional Info:

• Hours: 2.30pm-11.00pm Monday to Friday
• Rate; -13.00-14.50 per hour
• Start Date: ASAP
