Childrens Social Worker for a MASH Team in West Midlands area.

This is a full time locum role on ongoing basis. Hybrid working.

You will be expected to:

• Communicate effectively with individuals and families, explaining decisions in a clear manner and providing advice. Demonstrate empathy, compassion and an ability to respectfully challenge whilst interpreting what can be complex information and circumstances.
• Work closely in partnership with professionals from a variety of different sectors.
• Share and gather information efficiently and make timely decisions for children who need help or are at risk. Have an ability to interpret information and search databases for information regarding children including for information sharing purposes.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of actions taken and decisions ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, statutory guidance etc.
• Provide reports when required by court.

You need to have:

• Be Social Work qualified.
• Have at least 4 years post qualifying experience.
• Have worked in a similar role
• Have a good understanding of risk assessment and thresholds.
• Have experience of making prompt defensible decisions.
• Have an ability to work to fixed timescales.
• Be able to relate positively to colleagues and partner agencies.
