You will manage the delivery of several major highway infrastructure and civil engineering schemes valued between £2 million and £10 million, working across projects at different stages of design, procurement and construction.The main duties of the Highways Capital Project Manager include: Managing multiple highway infrastructure schemes from design and procurement through to delivery and completion. Coordinating designers, contract managers, permit teams, contractors and other project stakeholders. Monitoring programme, budget, risk, quality and overall project performance. Providing regular progress reports and updates to the Highway Capital Programme Manager. Undertaking key project-management tasks and coordinating the different elements of each scheme. Engaging with internal council teams, external organisations, elected members and local councillors.
