Sous Chef Are you a responsible, passionate, and experienced chef looking to advance your career? I am recruiting on behalf of my client for a full-time Sous Chef role within a friendly, close-knit, and ambitious kitchen team. This position requires a well-rounded candidate with 5 years experience, who will have full autonomy over the entire cold menu, including starters, desserts, and sandwiches. About the Venue Located on the outskirts of Chichester, in a picturesque village offering beautiful views, this well-established hotel is renowned for its seasonal, high-quality homemade food. The kitchen team is close-knit and supportive, working collaboratively to deliver exceptional dishes using fresh, locally sourced ingredients. About the Role You will work alongside the Head Chef and Senior Sous Chef in a busy kitchen that operates with 6 to 7 chefs during peak periods, working a mix of split and straight shifts. The atmosphere is friendly and supportive. Key responsibilities include:Leading the kitchen team and supporting daily operationsManaging ordering within agreed par levelsPreparing and cooking fresh produce to set recipesMaintaining the highest standards of kitchen hygiene and food safetyAssisting with menu development and regular seasonal updatesThe venue is targeting to achieve rosette recognition within the next one to two years, offering exciting growth opportunities.
