Accounts Assistant

P+S Personnel are pleased to be working on behalf of our client, who is currently seeking an Accounts Assistant to join their team based in Dereham on a full time, permanent basis. Main Responsibilities: Preparing year-end accounts and financial statements for companies, sole traders and partnerships. Personal and corporate tax return preparation and completion. Client bookkeeping and management accounts for a variety of businesses, using mainly Sage 50, Xero and QuickBooks. VAT return preparation and transmission. Person Specification: Good communication skills, happy to converse with clients and able to work in a team. Experience in a similar Bookkeeping / Accounts Assistant role. Must have good experience of Sage, Xero and Quickbooks. Ability to work solely with minimum supervision. A personable, customer driven, people person. Have a positive can-do attitude. Have a passion to go the extra mile to support client queries. Must be able to work to strict deadlines. Practice experience an advantage Qualifications and Experience: Qualified by experience or have an accountancy qualification. Current and relevant experience within an accountancy practice environment. Prompt client contact and liaison providing a top-class service, going the extra mile. Supporting the Directors with new ideas for best practice and forward-thinking accounting. Experience of Accounts and Tax Software.
