We are working alongside a friendly and ambitious secondary school in Northampton who are seeking to appoint a dedicated Science Teacher from September 2026. The role is full-time, with both permanent and fixed-term options available depending on experience and school requirements.

• Deliver engaging and well-structured Science lessons across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 opportunities where applicable
• Plan lessons that develop students'' scientific understanding, practical abilities, and problem-solving skills
• Use experiments, demonstrations, and investigative activities to bring Science to life
• Adapt teaching to meet the needs of students with different abilities and learning styles
• Regularly assess and track student progress, providing useful and constructive feedback
• Support the ongoing development of the Science curriculum and department
• Get involved in enrichment activities such as STEM clubs, science competitions, trips, and school events
• Share ideas, resources, and effective teaching strategies with colleagues
• Play an active role in the wider school community

• QTS/QTLS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
• A degree or specialism in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or General Science
• Excellent subject knowledge and enthusiasm for teaching Science
• The ability to motivate, challenge, and support students across a range of abilities
• Strong classroom management skills and a positive, consistent approach
• A commitment to achieving high standards and supporting student development
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• A proactive attitude towards contributing to school life
