Mechanical Site Manager - Commercial Fit-Out

Central London | -65,000 - -75,000 + Travel + Bonus

Our client is a highly respected -60m turnover M&E contractor specialising in delivering technically challenging commercial fit-out projects valued at up to -20m M&E. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, they are looking to appoint a Mechanical Site Manager to take ownership of a flagship -5m commercial fit-out project in Central London.

As Mechanical Site Manager, you will be responsible for the successful site delivery of all mechanical packages, ensuring the project is completed safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Working closely with the Project Manager, Electrical Site Manager, subcontractors and client representatives, your responsibilities will include:

• Managing the day-to-day mechanical installation on site.
• Supervising subcontractors and direct labour.
• Coordinating works with other trades to maintain programme.
• Monitoring quality, productivity and workmanship.
• Ensuring all works comply with current health and safety legislation.
• Attending site meetings and reporting project progress.
• Managing inspections, commissioning activities and snagging.
• Supporting the project through to successful handover.

To be considered for this position you will have:

• A relevant Mechanical qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds, HNC/HND or equivalent).
• SMSTS or SSSTS certification.
• A minimum of 5 years'' experience as a Mechanical Supervisor or Mechanical Site Manager.
• Experience delivering commercial construction projects.
• Previous commercial fit-out experience is highly desirable.
• Ideally have worked on commercial fit-out projects with a mechanical value of -3m+.
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• A proactive approach with a focus on quality and programme delivery.
