Berry Recruitment are NOW hiring for a committed and experienced Test and Repair Technician to work for a company in Milton Park, Abingdon.Role:Test and Repair Technician Salary: 30,000 per annumLocation: Milton ParkKey Responsibilities of the Test and Repair Technician Develop and maintain a strong working knowledge of products and associated manufacturing processes.Provide first-line technical support across all product ranges, triaging and repairing units to component level.Own investigation of production test failures and repeat issues, driving root cause analysis and supporting permanent corrective actions.Support and improve production test and assembly equipment to maximise uptime and process stability.Maintain, calibrate and commission assembly and test equipment in line with planned maintenance schedules.Analyse production data (e.g. test failures, rework trends, downtime) to identify improvement opportunities.Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives using structured problem-solving tools (e.g. 5 Whys, Ishikawa, 8D).Support the introduction of new products and process changes into manufacturing, ensuring robust transition to production.Create clear technical reports relating to product and process issues.Act as a technical mentor to apprentice technicians and production operators, supporting skills development on the shop floor.Ensure safe working practices in accordance with company health and safety policies, including ESD control.
