About the Role:
As a Lead Project Manager and Scrum Master for the Data Foundations project, you will play a vital role in our client''s Transformation Programme. You''ll be at the forefront of delivering essential platform capabilities, governance, and data access that align with our long-term Data Strategy. Your hands-on experience will drive our projects to success, while your leadership will inspire the team to achieve remarkable results.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Delivery & Planning:
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, and RAID logs.
- Oversee day-to-day project delivery, ensuring smooth transitions into service.
- Track progress across workstreams and report updates to governance forums.
Scrum Master Duties:
- Facilitate agile ceremonies: sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Lead Scrum of Scrums to manage interdependencies and swiftly remove blockers
- Coach teams in Agile practises, ensuring delivery momentum.
Governance & Communication:
- Prepare and present programme updates for Steering Groups and sponsor briefings.
- Engage stakeholders, ensuring clear communication throughout the change programme.
- Collaborate with business SMEs to resource and deliver UAT, training, and adoption activities.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with the Programme Manager, Platform and Data Leads, and Business Change team to coordinate delivery.
- Align sprint outcomes with the formal programme roadmap and milestones.
What We''re Looking For:
- 5-10 years of proven experience as a Project Manager and/or Scrum Master delivering complex, multi-workstream data projects.
- Strong understanding of hybrid delivery environments blending Agile and traditional governance.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and reporting skills.
- Familiarity with data platforms, governance, and quality (e.g., Azure, Power BI).
- Experience with Jira, MS Project, and enterprise reporting tools is a plus.
Desirable Attributes:
- Agile certification (Scrum Master, SAFe, or equivalent).
- Background in utilities, public sector, or regulated industries.
- Exposure to ServiceNow, data governance tools, or data quality platforms.
