Head of Project Engineering - The Opportunity

We are seeking a Head of Project Engineering to join an established specialist design and engineering business, to take ownership, manage and provide technical support to the delivery of projects in the Rail sector. 

Head of Project Engineering - Key Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and support the Project Engineering team
• Responsible for resource planning to ensure projects have the correct skill set brought to bear
• Contribute directly to projects, ensure customer and business requirements are met throughout the project
• Ensure full compliance to all relevant legal, safety and quality standards
• Drive continuous improvement and promote best practice
• Allocate and manage engineering resources
• Lead quarterly team meeting

Head of Project Engineering - About You

• Strong understanding of the UK Rail Industry, its standards and regulations
• Proven experience leading technical Engineering project teams
• Track record in project management
• Commercial acumen and the ability to prioritise across multiple functions
• Proven customer facing experience, maintaining strong relationships and attending customer or stakeholders meetings as required
• Self-motivated, organised, and able to work independently
