Summary:

We are seeking an ambitious and hardworking-Estimator-to join a growing and well-established construction business based in Ipswich.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Estimator looking to join a close-knit team where their contribution will be valued and where they can play a key role in the successful delivery of projects across the region.

We are open to candidates from either a-residential-or-commercial construction-background. More importantly, we are looking for someone with a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn and develop within the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing accurate cost estimates and tender submissions
• Reviewing drawings, specifications, and project documentation
• Obtaining and analysing supplier and subcontractor quotations
• Assessing project risks and opportunities
• Liaising with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams
• Supporting the pre-construction process from enquiry through to tender submission
• Assisting with value engineering and cost-saving initiatives

Requirements

• Previous experience in an Estimator within construction
• Experience within residential or commercial construction projects
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Good communication and organisational skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and estimating software (desirable)
• Positive, hardworking, and team-oriented attitude
