Within the Innovation team you will be exposed to cash grants and patent box applications. As well as working directly on existing projects, you will also be offered the chance to support business development opportunities.There is a clear path for progression for the right candidate and this is a unique opportunity to progress your career in one of EY’s leading Incentives and RandD tax teams.Your key responsibilities:To work alongside teams working on the efficient preparation and successful delivery of RandD tax claims in the Financial Services sector.Build and maintain relationships with clients and provide high levels of client service , taking a leading role in interaction with clients'' senior stakeholdersBuild relationships both within the firm and externally with clients, identifying opportunities, managing client team stakeholders, and liaising with other client facing teamsContribute to winning new work by proactively managing our existing clients base and contribute to winning new clients by contributing to business development activities.Skill and attributes for success:Experienced in either wider Corporation Tax or RandD tax practitioner roleTeam player; ability to integrate with new teams quicklyOutgoing with good relationship skills and the ability to deliver quality outputStrong technical skills and keen to develop furtherAbility to build strong client relationshipsAbility to identify areas of risk, carry out an effective review and know when to refer upwardsRelationship management skills with ability to manage client expectations and build effective relationships at all levelsAbility to solve problems creatively and pragmaticallyTo qualify for the role you must have:Fully qualified ACA/CA/ACCA/ATT/CTAMinimum 3 years experience either as an RandD tax practitioner or in a wider Corporation Tax roleStrong Excel capability including use of XLOOKUP, IF functions and pivot tables, including manipulating large and complex datasetsStrong writing, communication and project management skills.Ideally, you’ll also have:Project management skills, plan and prioritise work, meet deadlines, monitor own budgetExperience in AlteryxWhat we look for:Team player; ability to integrate with new teams quicklyOutgoing with good relationship skills and the ability to deliver quality outputStrong interpersonal skills and the ability to build a rapport with clients quicklyWhat we offerWe offer a competitive remuneration package where you’ll be rewarded for your individual and team performance.
