MS570 - Senior Design Manager Salary: £85,000 per annumLocation: Cambridge Overview: First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Senior Design Manager on behalf of one of our clients. To work on a large scale commercial project to manage the design process, design team and trade contractor design on a project. Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration. Duties and Responsibilities: Assist in appointment of design team and management of design team contracts to cost, time, quality and safety requirements. Manage the creation of the project design management plan and ensure all members of the design team are aware of their responsibilities. Manage the production and co-ordination of the design programme, employers requirements and design deliverables schedule throughout the project. Chair design team meetings and other design orientated meetings. Ensure clear record keeping and monitoring of design process/programme/deliverables. Comment and approve design information through the project. Ensure the design complies with client brief, contract, current legislation, town planning, building regulations, CDM and relevant technical requirements Ensure that all responsibilities under CDM regulations are maintained by the project and design teams.
