EYFS Teaching Assistant
Prospero Teaching are recruiting for a caring and enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming Nursery School in South Birmingham from September 2026.
This is a part-time position, working 3 days per week, for the full academic year.
The successful candidate will work within the nursery''s 2-year-old provision, supporting children during a vital stage of their early development. The role will have a strong focus on speech, language and communication, helping children develop confidence and key early learning skills through play-based activities and nurturing interactions.
The Role
- Supporting children aged 2 years within the nursery setting.
- Promoting speech, language and communication through engaging activities and play.
- Supporting children''s learning, development and independence.
- Creating a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment.
- Working closely with the class teacher and wider Early Years team.
- Providing personal care as required.
Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Experience working within an EYFS or nursery setting.
- A relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant or Early Years qualification is essential.
- A good understanding of the EYFS Framework.
- Experience supporting speech and language development is desirable.
- A patient, caring and enthusiastic approach.
- A willingness to undertake personal care duties.
