Join the Close Brothers Finance Team where you will play a key role in providing wide ranging support across external and internal reporting, and oversight of the finance functions in the banking segments. Working as part of the Finance team our ideal team member will have previous experience in month-end and financial control procedures with excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

RESPONSIBILITIESProduction of monthly Bank consolidation filePrepare monthly consolidation journalsCompile the internal Profit by Clusters reportRun monthly control reports and ensure no issues exist including monitoring intercompany matrixEnsure timely submissions of the FINREP packs from the business unitsPreparation of the consolidated quarterly FINREP report including raising review comments and challenge to the business unitsPreparation of the Office of National Statistics returnsAssist with the consolidation of business submissions of data as required, including summary of intangible assets, IFRS 9 impairment, data for impact assessment of new accounting standards.Produce high quality interim and year-end financial reports including the Banking Group’s consolidated and stand-alone financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standardsSupport the IFRS 16/IFRS 9 process across the Bank

WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU HAVE/ARE:A qualified Accountant, ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalentStrong organisational skills including a good track record of delivering effective reporting under pressure and to tight business-critical deadlinesEvidence of working well within teams and proven ability to engage with a variety of people across multiple departmentsA strong technical backgroundIT literate with advanced knowledge of Excel
