Company Overview Smart Manufacturing Solutions is currently recruiting for a Mechanical Maintenance Technician on behalf of a valued client based in Stockton-on-Tees. The successful candidate will join a small, dedicated maintenance team responsible for the day-to-day upkeep of plant equipment and machinery. Key responsibilities include conducting preventative maintenance, responding to breakdowns, and carrying out routine service and repair tasks to ensure optimal operational efficiency. Responsibilities Work alongside external contractors during the completion of routine servicing and repairs. Fault diagnosis and instigate repairs Perform preventive maintenance duties on a range of equipment including overhead cranes, CNC machines and shot blasts Work alongside section team leaders to identify concerns and rectify machine problems. Assist with the safe decommissioning of old plant/equipment and the safe installation/commissioning of new. Maintain working areas in accordance with 5S Use appropriate safety equipment and techniques to adhere to company procedures. Mentor Department trainees / apprentices Requirements Apprenticeship or Mechanically qualified - City and Guilds or equivalent level 3 HNC ( Preferred but not essential) MEWP Licence ( Preferred but will be provided) Proactive attitude Previous experience working with Hydraulic systems Previous experience working with Pneumatic Systems Previous experience working with Overhead Cranes Working Hours Dayshift - ..... full job details .....
