As a Reactive Maintenance Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing practical solutions that facilitate vital maintenance work, thereby reducing flooding risks, enhancing neighbourhood cleanliness, and improving the overall highway environment in Manchester. Day-to-Day of the Role: Engage with local residents to build support for planned maintenance activities. Coordinate operational teams, arrange temporary access measures, and oversee site activities across the city. Develop and manage programmes of work to address access issues through coordinated stakeholder engagement and project delivery. Work directly with community groups, elected Members, and other stakeholders to implement temporary parking restrictions and maintenance activities. Liaise with contractors to schedule and execute cleansing and maintenance activities efficiently. Arrange necessary traffic management, temporary parking restrictions, and operational requirements to facilitate access. Lead communication and engagement activities to keep residents and businesses well-informed of planned works.
