The successful candidate will support the class teacher in delivering high-quality education and care to children aged 5-7 years, helping them to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons and activities.Work with small groups or individual pupils to reinforce learning objectives.Assist with phonics, reading, writing, and numeracy interventions.Promote positive behaviour and help manage classroom routines.Support children with additional needs, including SEN, EAL, or emotional/behavioural challenges.Prepare resources and materials for lessons and activities.Supervise pupils during break times, transitions, and school trips.Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.Provide feedback to teachers on pupil progress and behaviour.Contribute to the wider life of the school, including assemblies and events.Person SpecificationEssential:Experience working with children in a school or childcare setting.Understanding of the KS1 curriculum and child development.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach.Good ..... full job details .....
