Our client a leading freight, logistics and courier organisation is looking for a Finance Assistant to join their busy team.This is a full time, office-based role.Hours are Monday to Friday 09:00 - 17:00This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive Finance Assistant to support with day-to-day accounting activities, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, reconciliations, and management accounts.Key Responsibilities of a Finance Assistant:Raise sales invoices and upload into accounting software with correct codingProduce manual invoices when requiredSend statements and chase overdue paymentsResolve customer billing queriesProcess purchase invoices and support supplier payment runsHandle supplier queries promptly and accuratelyTransfer data between finance systems and allocate receiptsComplete monthly reconciliations for bank, debtor, and creditor accountsAssist with ad-hoc finance tasks, reporting, and auditsBe cross trained in Sales and Purchase Ledger functionsUse Sage 50 and internal CRM systems to maintain accurate financial recordsSupport process improvements and workflow efficiency within the finance teamThe Successful Finance Assistant will have:GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and EnglishStrong communication and customer service skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamComfortable working to deadlines and under pressureWorking knowledge of Sage 50 systemIntermediate Excel skills and attention to detailProven experience as a Finance Assistant ..... full job details .....
