Key Responsibilities of a Legal Counsel - 12 Month FTC:

Offering comprehensive legal guidance to various departments within the organisation, such as Procurement, IT, Marketing, People, Sales, and Operations, with a particular focus on contractual mattersDrafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements while overseeing the legal aspects of diverse business initiativesIdentifying and evaluating risks, ensuring clear and effective communication with both internal teams and external stakeholdersCollaborating across functions on major projects while independently managing smaller or strategic tasks.Providing practical advice on contract disputes and interpretation, emphasising commercially sound decision-making rather than solely focusing on legal risk assessment.

Essential Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate would be 2+ years PQE with a background within corporate or commercial law, ideal experience would come from a reputable private practice or in-house organisationExperience working with high-value contracts and complex matters.Ability to deal with a range of large (but not exclusively) contractual projects.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise at all levels.A proactive approach to problem-solving and meticulous attention to detail.
