Nursery Practitioner – Colchester

TeacherActive is currently recruiting Nursery Practitioners and Nursery Assistants to work across a range of nursery settings in the Colchester area. THE ROLE
Working across different nursery settings in Colchester, you will help provide a safe, caring and stimulating environment where children can learn, play and develop.
Your responsibilities may include:
Supporting children''s learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
Helping plan and deliver fun, engaging and age-appropriate activities.
Supporting children''s communication, social skills and emotional development.
Assisting with daily routines, including mealtimes, personal care and play activities.
Working alongside nursery teams to maintain a positive and welcoming environment.
Following safeguarding procedures and ensuring children''s safety and wellbeing at all times.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
We have opportunities for candidates with different levels of qualifications and experience, depending on the requirements of each nursery and position.
Qualified Nursery Practitioners
For qualified roles, candidates will generally need a recognised Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare, such as a Level 2 Diploma for Early Years Practitioners or a Level 3 Diploma for Early Years Educators.
Nursery Assistants & Unqualified Candidates
If you do not hold a childcare qualification, you may still be suitable for certain opportunities. Previous experience working in a nursery, preschool or another childcare environment would be beneficial, although the exact requirements will depend on the setting and role.
We are looking for reliable, enthusiastic and caring individuals who enjoy working with children. Strong communication skills, a positive attitude and a willingness to work as part of a team are essential.
